Green Team/EcoJustice Ministry Team

• The EcoJustice Ministry Team (generally called the Green Team) formed in Feb of 2020 for the purpose “to use action and education to create a sustainable and just environment for this generation and for generations to come”
• The Green Team works to guide MUCC and others to use as many sustainable practices as possible, holds Earth Day events, is working on grounds management for MUCC to replace trees and increase native plantings, suggests environmental related activities for the kids, and shares articles, books and workshop offerings.  Past activities include the solar installation and the transition to Fair Trade coffee at MUCC.  The Green Team’s mission has overlap with NION and Racial Justice so the team may also be involved with supporting governmental policy changes.
• The Green Team meets monthly or as needed and is open to anyone interested in sharing information and learning about ecojustice issues.  The Green Team has met mostly via Zoom but now offers both in person and Zoom participation as able.
