Part of being cross+generational is learning with and from each other. We prioritize doing things together -- elders, youngers, and in-betweens. There are many different types of families at McFarland UCC - two parent households, blended families, single-parent families, grandparents raising kids, family friends sharing the work, couples without children, singles without children, widows and widowers.
We take our baptismal promises seriously. Our goal is to equip families to do faith in the home, rather than just one hour a week at the church building. We find that adults have some of the same questions the children do - the kids are just braver about asking!
