Always wanted to learn more about scripture, but couldn't find the time? We invite you to join an online Bible study of the Gospel according to John. Our Facebook-based group lets you fit learning into the week when it works for you - after the kids' bedtime, early morning riser, lunch hour, out-of-town travel.... maybe even in the car pool line! Here's how it works: |
1) 'Like' the church's Facebook page, mcfarlanducc. We post an invitation there every time we start a new study. Anything you post on this page is visible to the public.
2) Join our private Bible Study group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/MUCCBibleStudy/
Requests to join this group are moderated, so we're sure only real people, not scammers or spammers are joining. Anything you post in this group is only viewable by group members. It gives you a little bit more privacy with your questions, conversations and viewpoints. (We've just completed a study of the Book of Acts, so you'll see some old posts there.)
3) On January 31, Pastor Kerri will post an introductory note in the Bible Study group about the Gospel according to John. Every Tuesday beginning February 4, we'll have a new post with information and discussion questions. Most weeks, we'll take on just a portion of a chapter. The Gospel of John can be dense and we want to leave room for reflection. We're aiming for a manageable pace so we don't leave people behind!
Pastor Kerri will be using a variety of translations. If you don't have a Bible, you're welcome to borrow a Common English Bible (CEB) from the church, or check out BibleStudyTools.com for free web-based access to multiple versions of the Bible.
